Lik-Sang closes down
iPlayPlayStation.com wishes everyone at Lik-Sang good luck, and hope they return bigger and brighter in the future.
“Lik-Sang.com, the popular gaming retailer from Hong Kong, has today announced that it is forced to close down due to multiple legal actions brought against it by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Sony claimed that Lik-Sang infringed its trade marks, copyright and registered design rights by selling Sony PSP consoles from Asia to European customers…”
Sony should be ashamed of themselves.

Hori Zero Tech 2 RC racing controller

If you’ve ever driven an RC car using a standard Kyosho/Tamiya wheel transmitter, then the Hori Zero Tech 2 is an absolute ‘must try’ controller for PlayStation2 driving games. Although the Zero Tech 2 doesn’t provide the same immersion as a traditional wheel and pedals controller, any RC enthusiast will instantly feel at home with this controller - plus it takes up a lot less space.
Neo Geo Fighter Stick 2
The legendary Neo Geo stick is back. Now you can play all those SNK/Neo Geo games that have been ported to the PS2 the way they were meant to be played. The Neo Geo Fighter Stick 2 is virtually identical to the original Neo Geo stick, with the addition of four extra buttons required for some PS2 titles. If you’re going to play SNK games on your PS2 then this is the stick to use.
SmartJoy FRAG
Anyone who has played console based first person shooters will know the frustration of simultaneously targeting and moving using a gamepad. When it comes to FPS games, there really is no substitute for the freedom and precision of using a mouse and keyboard.
The SmartJoy FRAG solves this problem by allowing any PS/2 compatible keyboard and mouse to be used as a controller in any PlayStation2 FPS game - you can even use a USB to PS/2 adapter if you have a USB keyboard or mouse.
Retro review - Sony PocketStation
The Sony PocketStation is one of the most ingenious accessories that was ever produced for the PlayStation - featuring a 32 x 32 dot monochrome LCD display, sound, real-time clock, and infrared communications. Due to a lack of marketing, and a Japan only release (in 1998), the PocketStation remains widely unknown outside of Japan.
Sony confirms PS3 Live Service
Rumours have been spreading for months now regarding Sony’s new online multiplayer service for the PS3. Sony has confirmed that the upcoming Sony PlayStation 3 will have a live service. Earlier speculations indicated that Sony had no plans for online PlayStation3 compatibilities.
The new PS3 video game console will include such a service which will allow gamers to communicate, compete, and participate in live in-game tournaments.
The Japanese game giant has begun distributing a questionnaire to gamers regarding console online gaming. The questions are asking whether or not people find online play fun, and what kind of features they might like to be included in the PS3’s Live service.
