“Lik-Sang.com, the popular gaming retailer from Hong Kong, has today announced that it is forced to close down due to multiple legal actions brought against it by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Sony claimed that Lik-Sang infringed its trade marks, copyright and registered design rights by selling Sony PSP consoles from Asia to European customers…”

Sony should be ashamed of themselves.

If you don’t want to spend too much cash on a PS2 guitar controller – then this little baby is worth looking at. It’s under USD$30 from Lik-Sang, and although it’s not the same quality as the more expensive guitar controllers – it’s only a fraction of the price.

The Sony PocketStation is one of the most ingenious accessories that was ever produced for the PlayStation – featuring a 32 x 32 dot monochrome LCD display, sound, real-time clock, and infrared communications. Due to a lack of marketing, and a Japan only release (in 1998), the PocketStation remains widely unknown outside of Japan.

The PocketStation is built around a PlayStation memory card, enabling you to transfer minigames from PocketStation enabled PlayStation games to the PocketStation. The PocketStation could then play these mini-games, and return the saved game data to the PlayStation via the memory card slot. The PocketStation also feature multiplayer support via the infrared port.

PlayStation games that contained extra PocketStation games include Final Fantasy VIII, Pocket MuuMuu, Legend of Mana, and Ridge Racer Type 4.

New PocketStations are getting difficult to find now, although ‘new in box’ PocketStations sometimes turn up.
