Copy PS2 memory cards to PS3
Datel’s new DataMAX adapter for the PlayStation3 allows the PS3 to read all your old saves and settings from a PS2 memory card - so you can now play all your old favorites on the PS3 without starting from scratch. The DataMAX is compatible with standard Sony PS2 memory cards, plus the higher capacity 16MB, 32MB and even 64MB cards - including NYKO and Datel cards (and probably any other brand too). The DataMAX also comes with file manager software on CD to help you manage your saves.

Install Ubuntu on PlayStation3
The Linux nerds over at Ubuntu.com have created a guide on installing Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, and Edubuntu onto a PlayStation 3. The instructions will work for any PlayStation 3 with a firmware version of 1.60 or greater.

Virtua Stick High Grade
Sega have released a new ‘top shelf’ arcade stick for the PlayStation3, built with seriously nice arcade quality hardware. The Virtua Stick High Grade uses all Sanwa parts - with quick disconnects for the buttons so you easily rearrange the button layout. The construction quality is superb, and the design is really really nice - it looks a lot more professional than any other high end arcade sticks available at the moment. An extra bonus is that it uses a USB connection, so you can also use it on a PC for playing MAME or whatever - which is worth it even if you don’t own a PS3. It’s better (just) than the new HORI Real Arcade Pro Stick 3, and guess what? That makes the Virtua Stick High Grade the best commercially produced home arcade stick in the world. Yowza.
Play-Asia have the Virtua Stick High Grade for around $79 - which is an insanely good price for this kind of quality.
PlayStation3 BD remote
Sony have just released the new remote control for the PlayStation3. Unlike normal remote controls, the new PlayStation3 BD remote uses the PlayStation3’s built in Bluetooth wireless connection, and can control Blu-Ray and DVD movies and music. The PS3 BD remote is available now at Play-Asia.
PlayStation3. It’s here.
No vibration for PS3 controller

Unlike previous PlayStation controllers (Dual Shock & Dual Shock 2), the new controller for the PlayStation3 will not have vibration. Sony claims they can’t have motion sensors and vibration in the same controller - which is pretty sad as I’ve always thought the vibration added a lot to the the immersion of driving and fighting games. This “six-axis sensing system” had better be worth it.
