MapThis! for PSP

If you’ve got the official Sony PSP GPS receiver then this is something you absolutely must have on your PSP. MapThis is an awesome GPS sat nav homebrew application, and although it’s a little fiddly to get working – it’s totally worth it. MapThis uses imagery from Google Maps so nearly every developed area on Earth is covered, it also gives you your current speed, direction, altitude, latitude and longitude. It’s worth getting a PSP GPS unit just to use it.
MapThis is here.

This is so cool. I’ve never planned to buy a PSP but now I completely want one because i’m not good with directions and driving with a PSP GPS is absolutely awesome.
The question is: Do I need to buy a Japanese PSP to use SONY GPS receiver? or it will work on any PSP console.
Thx for reading
The Sony GPS receiver should work with any PSP.
The Sony PSP GPS unit at Play-Asia is stated to be compatible with PSP Japan so I thought it might be exclusive to Japanese PSP.
Well good to hear that it should work with all PSP
I notice that the software to run the USB GPS receiver is Navi.
Anyone know whether it will work with TomTom software?
Thanks
where do you get mapthis at?
thank you bobs844
hi! anyone know this software working with M33 firmware?
Yes, I use mapthis on 3.52 M33-2
I live in Japan and have been using the original PSP GPS receiver together with Maplus for a while. Besides being a little slow and acquiring the satellite signals the software is pretty good but now I am leaving Japan and finally found a use for my PSP GPS receiver overseas!!!
How difficult is it to download this MAPthis! Into your PSP? Does anyone knwo the exact link, as I checked this out and it kept putting into different websites … Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Try going straight here http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=79825 and you have to sign up on their forums but then after that (takes like 2 minutes) you can download it in a ZIP file down the bottom of the first post.
So this will work in AUS?
anyone using it in aus?
and will it work normally on 3.71-3?
Hi,
A question regarding PSP GPS.
Does the GPS work for marine?
I like sailing and would find it useful if it also works for marine use.
